CoSN Community Leadership Award for Digital Equity
This award is open to school districts, consortia of school districts, and education agencies that are working to eliminate inequities and close the access gap. The winning team will be recognized for its community-building initiatives, classroom and beyond innovation, significant impact, and partnership development.
Eligibility:
- Nominees must be CoSN members.
State Chapter Nominations: CoSN Chapters may submit one nominee per state for each award. If a chapter submits a nominee, additional submissions from that state will not be considered. Only current CoSN members are eligible for the Digital Equity Award.
Nomination Deadline: Nominations are due by November 18, 2024.
Application Instructions: You must complete the application in one sitting. Responses are limited to 200 words. Please review the following questions to prepare your answers:
- Leadership: How have team members demonstrated leadership in delivering technologies that increase opportunities and accessibility for all students within the organization?
- Builds Community: What strategies has the team used to build relationships with parents, teachers, and educational leaders to drive change? How has the team communicated and involved the community in achieving these changes? Provide data that shows the effectiveness of these efforts.
- Use of Information Technologies: How has the team used technology in innovative ways based on best practices? How have these activities helped narrow the “Homework Gap” and increased digital equity for all students?
- Impact: What major changes has this team achieved in the district or agency? Provide data to validate the impact of these changes.
- Public/Private Sector Partnerships: What partnerships and policies has the team developed to enhance connectivity for students? How have these partnerships/policies contributed to increased equity among learners?
